I am Danny. I have spent years in tennis retail here on the Westside, behind the counter and on the machine, recommending string setups and stringing everything that came through the door. Wood-era vintage frames, kids' racquets, pickleball and padel paddles, and every current release the week it lands.
That also means grip work done properly: build-ups to get a handle to the size you actually want, replacement grips and overgrips finished clean, and grommet strips fitted when they can be sourced.
The reason I am doing this on my own is simple. I would rather take the time over your racquet myself, get the details right, and remember what you like, than take it across a counter and pass it to whoever is next on the machine.

Only ever a suggestion. Plenty of people know exactly what they like, and that is what gets strung.
Arm has been sore. Worth trying something softer and a few pounds lower. Stiff poly at high tension is hard on an elbow, and a lot of people are in it without ever having chosen it.
Heavy topspin, all over the court. A textured poly tends to suit, tension matched to your swing speed.
Baseline rallies with friends. A soft multifilament usually feels better and is more fun when nobody is keeping score.
Competitive, chase everything. Control first. Firmer, tighter, more predictable on the stretch.
Ball keeps sailing long. Often too much power in the string bed, which is a cheaper fix than a new racquet.

Two or three racquets arrive strung with different setups and you hit them back to back, in your own conditions. Instead of guessing from a review online you feel the difference between a firm poly and a soft multi with your own swing. It is a chance to be watched playing properly, and by the end you know what you want and why.

If your handle has always felt slightly too small, or you bought the only size the shop had, this fixes it properly. A heat shrink sleeve builds the handle up evenly, without the lumps you get from stacking overgrips, then it is finished with a new replacement grip. Price includes the sleeve, the grip and the work. Add $5 only if the old grip is peeling, disintegrating or leaving residue behind, since those have to be scraped off the handle before anything new goes on.
Two things, and both are automatic. A complimentary overgrip, fitted, on the first visit. Then the third visit inside 90 days of the first one is free.
It counts visits, not racquets. Turning up once with three frames is one visit, not three, and the free one is a single racquet on your third visit. Labor only or a string included, back in the standard two days. Premium string, same day and delivery are still charged. One per person.
Applied automatically, nothing to claim. A membership replaces the offer, because every tier is worth more.
Dropping it off yourself:
• Next day, free. Drop any time up to 9pm, back the following day.
• Same day, +$15. In the stringing lineup by 1pm and it is done that evening.
• After 1pm, +$25. Call first. If the lineup is clear it can usually still be turned around.
If I pick it up and drop it back:
• Add a day. Pickups run before 3pm or after 7:30pm, so a Tuesday morning collection normally comes back Wednesday. Members I work around as best I can.
• Same day with pickup only works if I can collect before 3pm.
League members and above get same day guaranteed with no fee.
Between 3 and 7 the Westside stops moving. One rush-hour round trip can eat two hours that should have been stringing, which would push everyone else's racquet back a day. So pickups run before 3, after 7, or on Sundays when the roads are empty. Dropping off takes two minutes and is always free.
Pay by card online when you book, or tap your phone or card at the curb when I hand the racquet back. Whichever suits you.
Yes, and I string a lot of it. I just do not stock it, because carrying gut ties up more money than a one-person shop can justify and I would rather not mark it up to cover that. Supply your own set and it is the $30 stringing service, full bed or hybrid.
Installation is $17, fitting only. If you already have the strip, bring it with the racquet.
If you need me to find one, ask a week or two ahead. I do not keep them in stock, so I order it in and wait for it to arrive. You pay whatever the strip and shipping cost me, plus the $17. On older or discontinued frames they sometimes cannot be found at all, and I will tell you that before you commit rather than after.
